Kathleen Krull is a prolific American children's book author who has written over 70 books. She was born on July 29, 1952, in Los Angeles, California. Krull earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from UCLA and a Master of Arts degree in English from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
Krull began her career as a children's book author in 1990, with the publication of "A Kids' Guide to America's Bill of Rights." Since then, she has written numerous picture books, biographies, and nonfiction books for children. Krull's books have won many awards, including the Children's Book Guild Nonfiction Award and the National Council for Social Studies Notable Book Award.
Krull's writing focuses on biographies of famous and influential people, from athletes to musicians to scientists to politicians. Her books are known for their lively writing style, engaging illustrations, and kid-friendly approach to history and biography. Krull currently lives in San Diego, California, with her husband, illustrator Paul Brewer.
